Itinerary
The itinerary for the trip has been posed on the Fusion Worship - Costa Rica 2003 Home Page
One month away!
The trip is basically a month out! In some ways, there is a lot going on, and in other ways not much. Pastor Rick has such a great leadership team, that in my opinion at least, the work is pretty much spread around. Things just keep getting done until it will be the day and we'll head down! As with all my trips (vacations, business conferences, camps), I tend to not focus on it until it is upon me. I just have too much going on in "every day" life, to thing about it much.

Personally: Letters were sent out, some financial support came in (thanks!) and more prayer support (thanks!). In fact I got another prayer support letter yesterday. I figured these people would pray... but never got a response. Then yesterday it showed up in a "this was damaged" package from the post office. Kind of cool (not that it was damaged, but that it showed up when it did!). So... trip is paid for and all background stuff is set. I still have to get food and whatever other stuff I need for the trip, but I've still got a month, so probably will wait a few weeks for that!

Worship team: As posted on FusionWorship, worship is general is going awesome! For the trip istelf, Bobby got me the list. I sent it to Jonathan and he had translations for 3 of the songs. Michael is translating the rest with some app on the web and we may have a parent who can look them over and clean them up for us. Michael is going to try to learn some of them (chorus at least) in Spanish before we go, and then hopefully Jonathan can help with the rest once we get down there. Nick (our normal drummer) isn't going, and now that Michael is leading, we have no other drummer. Dominick, who is going and is a great drummer, will be drumming down there.

So... musically I think we are pretty much set. I still need to double check on what we have to bring... I think just the instruments,. i.e, no mics, stands, direct-boxes, etc. We also need insurance, but checking around it appears that the best thing is to get a home-owner rider for the instrument. It is too expensive to try and get coverage for just the instruments. (minimum one year insurance at $250 per instrument!)

We have tonight, then two week-ends off, and then we hit it strong. 2 more weekends and the following one we head down there!

We still don't have confirmation on the hotel for sure (there is some final dealings going on), but whatever we get is supposed to have internet connections. If so, I'll try and blog from there. Although, we will be on the "village trip" for a week, so will be off-line for that time.

Also, I'm not sure when I'm coming back. I'm going down for "just two weeks", but so far the focus has been on the "main" dates, and they haven't bought tickets for my return flight. Kind of makes me nervous... but hey, God will handle it.

And one final note, the drama is GREAT. We have two teams and they did the drama for the church last week. It was awesome.
