It begins!
Friday night was drama try-outs and yesterday was the first drama practice. Pastor Rick didn't really need any adult help (I wasn't sure), so although I showed up, there wasn't much for me to do. I spent most of the day working in the office, but did pop for a bit a few times. 2 years ago when, when Fuel did the drama for the first time, they spent 5 months working on it, almost every Saturday. Sometimes twice a week! This time there are only 5 practices planned! And the pretty much learned the entire drama yesterday, in one day!

There are many drama veterans on the team, and the teens pretty much taught each-other. Pastor Rick gave overall direction, which parts to learn first, etc., but the teens handled the details. A few are in reoccuring roles, but most are in new rolls.

It went very well and was a great start. And everyone was pretty exhausted by the time it was over and we ate, at 4:45. The band grabbed some dinner, then went and practiced and the evening turned into pretty much a total worship night. After Fusion we went over to Sonic for about 30 minutes. It was a beautiful night and we just hung out.

This is what Costa Rica will be all about. Working hard all day, doing the drama, even when exhausted, and then worshipping at night and getting built back up. It is going to be an awesome time!
